In the heart of the Dolomites, December 6th marked the debut of a new high-altitude destination. Chalet Franz Kraler – Club Moritzino hosted its very first private event with an evening designed in every detail – intimate yet vibrant – where alpine elegance met the culture of hospitality, and music blended with material essence.

Every gesture – from the journey to the gastronomic experience, from light to sound – was shaped to build a harmonious rhythm. An evening not meant to impress, but to reveal itself slowly.

An experiential journey: from forest to light

The evening began with a quiet, elegant journey through the nocturnal landscape, departing from the heart of Cortina. The Chalet appeared as a point of light in the darkness: its architecture – crafted from wood, glass, and stone – welcomed guests naturally, in a balance between architectural rigour and alpine warmth.

From the Alpenglow Pavilion to the Alpine Bar & Dining: flavors and rhythm

The evening’s welcome unfolded in the Alpenglow Pavilion, where a sea-and-mountain buffet was curated as a gesture of taste and sharing. Later, guests sat for a dinner served in the Alpine Bar & Dining, the heart of the convivial experience.

A personal moment made the evening even more meaningful: the birthday of Daniela Kraler, which coincided with the very day of the inauguration. Between heartfelt wishes and a dark chocolate cake shared with guests, the private occasion intertwined with the collective spirit of the night, forming a sincere, resonant passage.

The dessert gained an added layer of meaning: tiramisu and a celebratory slice of cake concluded the menu with an intense and symbolic note – fitting for the moment. Midway through the evening, a musical selection by DJ Thomas Dorsi and DJ Andrew set the tone with curated beats and an enveloping atmosphere.

The Chalet became a space to explore: guests moved freely through the interiors, discovering installations, textures, and light. A dinner that became a sensory experience.

Words, gestures, and presence

Adding further depth to the evening was a moment of gratitude expressed by Daniela Kraler, who shared heartfelt thanks with guests, the team, and partners – highlighting the human and creative journey behind the Chalet’s realization. Alongside her, the Craffonara and Kraler families extended their appreciation, recognizing in each presence an essential contribution to the project.
Among the guests were the architects of BlueArch, the minds behind the Chalet’s architectural identity, and brand representatives whose presence shaped the event’s atmosphere:

  • Windows by Tod’s and Akoni
  • The immersive IQOS installation
  • Technical garments reimagined by Tramarossa
  • The olfactory signature of Campomarzio70
  • Illy coffee, a warm final ritual
  • Exclusive personalization by Mastercard

Each element helped compose a refined balance between aesthetic and function, giving the evening its true nature: a poised celebration of relationships, vision, and hospitality.

A vision illuminated by culture and hospitality

The return to Cortina closed the evening in the same tone in which it began: silence, care, and presence.

The inauguration of Chalet Franz Kraler – Club Moritzino was not simply an event – it was an introduction. It unveiled the deeper meaning of this place: a high-altitude home for contemporary hospitality, where culture, aesthetics, and connection meet with natural ease.

Among matter, sound, light, and landscape, a vision takes shape: to inhabit the mountain with awareness and style. An evening to begin, not to conclude.
